Big Happenings in Summerland!

Leslie Person Ryan who has run Letter Perfect for the past 35 years has ventured into Summerland. Information at the previous “Just Folk” Gallery, Person Ryan has put together Summerland Center for the Arts. Diverse offerings include ground floor retail and an upstairs art gallery. The Gallery exhibitions will partner with specific non-profits to help those in the community who need it most. In addition, art classes are planned from water color to calligraphy.

Masha Keating - June 30 th to July 25 th . Keating, an Otis College of Art graduate, will show her bold nature inspired paintings which have drawn considerable attention. A proceed of the sales will be donated to the Santa Barbara Botanical Garden where Keating will teaching a painting class on June 22 nd . Keating’s bold signature style can be seen from public murals to her art inspired apparel and accessories. Named as one of impactmania’s “Women of Impact”, we look forward to sharing Masha Keating’s visions.

True to the Summerland spirit, the Center will host various spiritual evenings. April saw a packed house as local artist and author Rod Lathim and the Reverend Pamela Bollinger of the Church of the Comforter in Santa Barbara called all the Summerland Spirits to visit. On June 22 the Center hosts Fran Leigh, best-selling author and world-renowned spiritual guide. Leigh has been called one of the greatest transformational guides of the 21st Century.
